Weight can be a challenge, a goal, something we want to learn how to manage - it can be our ally and a gateway to willingness OR it can be a terrible, heavy unfriendly constant voice.
Optimal Weight or the weight that makes us feel good is more than just looking good, or a body image or picture that you might have sticked to since your early days.
As unique as our bodies are, So is the weight we have. It’s important to understand that you are not going to look or be like the person beside you or on that magazine, because you are UNIQUE. And so is YOUR WEIGHT.
Your goal has to be your own creation!
How do you visualise the healthiest most energetic version of yourself? How would you like to feel with your goal weight? How can you see yourself pursuing this purpose?
In many cultures and countries weight becomes an issue since we are young. As a result, adolescents struggle with body image distortions and eating disorders and constant dieting that continues during their mature life. Our bodies then alter their weight like a yoyo or pendulum on a constant basis not knowing any more what natural weight means, and which is our optimal state.
In most of the world, the food industry had also altered food genetics so much that what we eat produces chronic and constant inflammation - which leads to fat cells being fed and an increase of belly weight and overall weight even when we put all of our efforts and heart into lowering that number.
When we feel overweight or not comfortable with our body and can't find the way to work WITH it, we start feeding more and more from an emotional side of guilt and frustration. Thus, putting up more weight.
Anxiety and the thought of gaining weight becomes then an additional thing we are feeding ourselves with. And there are no quiet times or fasting periods in between these thoughts, which means we are Constantly feeding ourselves with the idea of weight and being over weight, thus, putting on more weight.
Instead of training, moving, running, trying a new sport, we are so obsessed or have so much fear around the idea of weight, that even when we might be giving our bodies better sources of nutrition, we are also feeding them with the idea of “I AM eating therefore I AM Gaining weight“
What we think, is also what we feed ourselves with. Our thoughts nurture us as much as food does. Weight can be a struggle until we choose to see it as a FRIEND we want to develop a HEALTHIER relationship with.
As Dr Wayne Dyer says, when it’s either one thing or the other one then, we are creating a dichotomy which can be truly aggressive for our mind and soul. And getting us further away from who we truly are, Oneness - we are all one, with food, with weight, with what we eat and nurture ourselves and our relationship towards it.
WE CAN HAVE A HEALTHY WEIGHT, OUR OPTIMAL WEIGHT, BE HAPPY, FULL OF ENERGY AND DEVELOP THE RELATIONSHIP WE WANT WITH FOOD.
